This programm tour designed for people who love visit Mahakam River to see the Mancong, Pepas Eheng Traditional Longhouse, using the houseboat of the communal traditional boat, than continue to visit the Samboja Leateri where the BOS (Balikpapan Orangutan Society) helping the rehabilitation orangutans, gibbon, sun bear, and also helping the re-forestation programm. Then visit Banjarmasin for seeing the old traditions of trade and bargain on the floating canoe at queen river, see the local trader, and this tour also see the Cempaka the traditional local people diging the diamond, gold, and many kind of stone such as safir, kecubung, ameties, gold, etc at this village. Continue to see the jewelerys of Diamond polish at Martapura. Fly to Pangkalanbun for great sekonyer river trip to go to Camp Leakey where you may see and play with the orphaned orangutans and watching the feeding time at the flatform jungle, stay at rimba lodge the tropical lodge located in the sekonyer beautifull river of the Tanjung puting National Park. This tour will finish at Jakarta Airport or Banjarmasin Airport or semarang Airport. Further arrangement should be make reservation in advance 2 week before.

Tour Itenary :

Day 01  Day 01 Airport Balikpapan International – Loajanan – Mahakam River (L,D)

Upon arrival at Sepinggan airport of Balikpapan then meeting service with our guide and transfer to Loajanan for boarding the house boat for exiting Mahakam river. Stop will be made at Loajanan to see the paper plantations from the local farmers. Meals will be served on Boat and stay overnight on boat

Day 02  Day 02 Muara Muntai – Mancong – Mahakam River (B,L,D)

After breakfast on boat stop at Muara Muntai for observing the way of the people life at wooden village then fulldays trip using the motorized canoe over Jempang Lake and passing Ohong river and the village of Ohong with beautiful views along the river for reaching Mancong village. On arrival welcome ceremony will be performed by Dayak Banuaq tribe in front of their long house and than return to the house boat at Muara Muntai, for cruise down up the river to Melak. Lunch box will be provided, dinner and stay overnight on boat.

Day 03  Day 03 Melak – Pepas Eheng Long House – Kersik Luway Black Orchids - Mahakam (B,L,D)

Arrival in the early morning at Melak. Sightseeing the local markets. Breakfast will be served on boat. Afterward continue your safari to visit Pepas Eheng traditional longhouse, where you may see authentic traditional longhouse and handicraft from the local Dayak artists, royal tomb traditional cemetery etc. Available trek to the jungle to see the huge trees. Than visit Kersik Luway to see the natural forest grows by the Black orchids (Colognae Pandurata ) and others orchids. Afterward return to the boat for cruise down the river to Tenggarong. Meals will be Provided on boat.

Day 04  Day 04 Tenggarong – Loajanan – Orangutan Island - Samboja Lodge (B,L,D)

Breakfast on boat then visiting local market, royal cemetery and museum of Kutai Kertanegara as remain of Sultan Palace. Afterward return to the boat and down the river for Loajanan, then after lunch, proceed to Balikpapan for Samboja. Lunch will be serving on boat. Afternoon visiting and observing the Orangutan Island around the Lodge. Dinner and overnigh at Samboja Lodge.

Day 05  Day 05 Samboja Lodge - Orangutan Island - Sun Bear - Airport Balikpapan – Banjarmasin – Swiss Bell Hotel Banjarmasin (B,L,D)

After breakfast, plant a tropical trees to help the re-forestation at Samboja.than continue visit kebun sayur shopping archade where you may see traditional market for stone market such as Diamond, Gold, Ruby, Safir, Kecubung, Ametis, and many others stone also others handicraft of Kalimantan. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon transfer to Airport Balikpapan for Banjarmasin. Upon arrival check in at hotel. Dinner at local restaurant. Evening free at your own leisure.

Day 06  Day 06 Banjarmasin – Martapura Diamond – Cempaka – Banjarmasin Swiss Bell Hotel (B,L,D)

Breakfast at hotel, than visit Martapura Diamond polished and continue to Cempaka the traditional mining village, for seeing local people look and dig the land to find the diamond, gold and many other stone such as ruby, safir, kecubung, etc. Late afternoon return to hotel, dinner at local restaurant.

Day 07  Day 07 Banjarmasin – Pangkalanbun – Kumai Port - Rimba Lodge (B,L,D)

Morning call at 05.30am than visit the queen river to see the local people trade and bargain in the floating boat. Afterward return to hotel for breakfast, than transfer to Airport for your flight to Pangkalanbun at ( ETD.12.40-13.50pm) upon arrival at Pangkalanbun airport by Kalstar flight, you will be picked up by our staff and take you to kumai port by car for 20 minutes and then proceed to National Park Tanjung Puting area by Boat for 2 hours. The boat is wooden river boat for tourist specialist. It’s 12m by 2,5m with a roof and called by Klotok, which forms the upper deck, you can view the natural rainforest. We will slowly explore the quite river by Klotok to observe wild animals and natural environment along the river side’s. There are Proboscis Monkeys, macaques, any kind of birds and other wild animals will greet you in the middle of Borneo rain forest. On the boat there is cabin with mattress, pillow, meals, bottled mineral water, mosquito net, kitchen and toilet. You can choose to take dinner and stay overnight on Boat or at Rimba Lodge.

Day 08  Day 08 Rimba Lodge – Pondok Tanggui – Camp Leaky – Fireflies Tours (B,L,D)

After breakfast, we will travel up the river for 2 hours boating to Camp Leaky where the older orangutans are reintroduced into the rainforest. Before arrive in Camp Leaky, we will stop in Pondok Tanggui to see feeding time at 09:00 then proceed to Camp Leaky. After lunch on Boat you have opportunity to take short trekking before see feeding time in Camp Leaky area at 14:00. Enjoy the river safari when you are on way back to stay over night on boat or at Lodge. (If the weather is good, you can enjoy Fireflies tours and river safari with candle light dinner on Boat).

Day 09  Day 09 Rimba Lodge – Kumai Port – Pangkalan Bun - Banjarmasin - Surabaya/Jakarta

After breakfast, we will transfer you to Kumai port by Klotok about 2 hours then take car to Pangkalan Bun Airport to catch flight Kalstar at ETD 09.30am and arrival in Banjarmasin at ETA.10.50am, you can connect your flight to Surabaya or Jakarta than Bali.
